Boldenone is a synthetic anabolic steroid, which is used as a growth promoter in meat production and also as a performance enhancer in horse racing. Boldenone (17- beta) is metabolized and excreted into urine with its two major metabolites 17-alpha-boldenone and Androstanedienedione. The use of Boldenone is prohibited throughout the EC.
