Uniflow 6 is an agarose-based gel filtration medium with bead-shaped particles, suitable for gel filtration or as an affinity chromatography support where low pressures and slow flow rates are needed. Uniflow 6 is best suited to molecules smaller than IgG.
Uniflow 6 is a highly stable 6% agarose medium. Its agarose base features a unique polysaccharide composition that resists biological degradation. Additional crosslinking (e.g. Superflow, Ultraflow) greatly enhances the mechanical and chemical stability of the matrix.
Uniflow 6 is an ideal support matrix for immobilizing biologically active substances, as it exhibits very low nonspecific binding. This is especially important when small amounts of biologics need to be isolated by affinity methods (e.g., diagnostic tests) or when a very high degree of purity is required (as with injectable therapeutics).
