Introduction:
Designed with a score-mark on the constriction breakpoint for opening ease. All Score-Break ampules are made from KIMAX-51* (a USP Type 1 borosilicate glass). Amber ampules are constructed of KIMAX-51 amber 203 glass for protection of light sensitive materials.
Procedure: To open an ampule, grasp the stem in one hand and the body in the other, placing thumbs tip-to-tip near the constriction. Using thumb tips as a hinge, bend the stem and the body to break the ampule open. A special ampule file is not required. Short stem ampules are "tip-sealed" while trimmed stems are "pull-sealed."
